The Role of the Health Mentor in InSHAPE

The Health Mentor is a professional fitness trainer who helps consumers enrolled in InSHAPE overcome the discomfort that comes with starting a wellness program.

Mentors meet weekly with individual participants as well as coordinate group activities. They provide support and guidance in setting personalized exercise schedules, healthy eating guidelines, and health goals. The Mentor orients each participant to the InSHAPE fitness facilities and other program activities, instructs them on the use of equipment, and provides exercise programming.

The Health Mentor brings companionship, encouragement, accountability, support, and technical expertise, and also tracks InSHAPE participant progress.
