IT Help Desk Intern

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Provide technical help desk/phone support for end users including hardware, email, electronic medical record, etc.

Assist with physical inventory of computer equipment, perform data entry, and other related duties.

Set up, deliver, and test PC hardware and install/test software and network connections.

Perform "housekeeping" and preventive maintenance on existing PC's.

Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving with networked and stand-alone PC's. Write and maintain documentation of IT internal and end-user procedures.

Assist with formal and informal training of end-users.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Windows 8/10/11

Knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar office suites

Good communication skills and likes to work with people

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Driver's license for travel to agency sites (in Genesee County, most in city of Flint)

Able to lift and carry computer components (up to 50 lbs.)

Must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week

Have good typing skills

Must be a hard worker,self starter

 

PREFERENCES:

Some knowledge of computer hardware, including component installation and configuration. Help desk or troubleshooting experience, either in a computer "lab" or office setting. Experience in troubleshooting computer software and hardware. At least a sophomore majoring in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems.

 

16-20 Hours Per Week

$18.00 Per Hour

Care Specialist-Behavioral Health Urgent Care

Genesee Health System (GHS) is looking for energetic and caring people to provide support to people suffering from mental health, substance use, and/or COVID related distress.  During these uncertain times, GHS continues to grow its capabilities to serve our local community in a safe manner when people need hope and support most. We are excited to welcome applications from those located in and around Genesee County.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager or designee, functions as a member of the team providing professional services in accordance with the needs of the Intake/Access department in assisting individuals in navigating the behavioral and physical health systems in the Genesee Health System (GHS) Provider Network as well as the larger community. May be assigned to assist in a similar role in other GHS departments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's in Social Work and Michigan Bachelor's Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential. Will consider a candidate with a Limited License as a Bachelors Level (LLBSW) credential AND one (1) year of experience in Mental Health, OR a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in human service field (defined as Counseling/Guidance or Psychology), who also must possess Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential AND one (1) year experience in Mental Health. The employee with a LLBSW must take and pass the ASWB Examination within four (4) years of hire to retain employment. The employee with a LLBSW must also make application for the LBSW upon completion of 4000 hours in order to retain employment. 

OR

Bachelor's in Nursing and license as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan AND one (1) year experience in Mental Health.

Additional Requirements:

Designation as a Certified Application Counselor and successful completion of MI Bridges navigation training to be completed within three months of hire.

PREFERENCES:

Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Experience working with the behavioral health population.
