Working to promote quality services and the health and safety of GHS consumers by listening, communicating and educating the network in order to support providers in finding solutions.
GHS Provider Relations builds and maintains professional relationships across agencies within the network and between departments. The department communicates information to ensure providers have the administrative capabilities to meet GHS’s obligations and offers ongoing support to the network.
Provider Relations assists with provider development to confirm that a comprehensive network of specialized services and supports are in place that are sufficient in amount, scope and duration to meet the needs of all eligible persons requiring specialty benefit mental health services. The department also participates in the analysis of provider performance relative to network expansion, cost reduction and quality improvement.
Provider Relations maintains the Provider Network Directory, along with maps to each facility, validating that all services are geographically accessible to all beneficiaries. Provider specialty information is also available that details providers’ language competencies, treatment specialties and special populations served.
