|General Statement of Duties
||Under the direction of the Supervisor, and as part of a team which includes the Genesee Intermediate School District, provides screening, referral, follow up and outcome tracking services in the home, office, and community for children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbances (SED), developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders; to divert families from court involvement for truancy and educational neglect. Will need to work with community resources such as schools, child welfare, and mental health agencies along with families and their natural supports to divert families from court involvement and performs other related work as required.
||Bachelor in Social Work with a Michigan Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential AND one year experience in working with children or adolescents. Will consider a candidate with a Michigan Limited License Bachelor Level Social Worker (LLBSW) credential AND one year experience in working with children or adolescents, OR a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (defined as counseling/Guidance, Psychology, or Criminal Justice), who also must possess a Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential AND one year experience in working with children or adolescents.
Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
||Must retain DCH qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional.
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours. Ability to physically perform the tasks.
